Talent Show Application Criteria

  • Categories Include:  Voice, Dance, and Instrumental Performance.
  • Applicants should possess solid stage experience and strong performing skills. We are looking for children with a natural, photogenic appearance and bright smiles, who can perform confidently on stage and connect with the audience.
  • Ideal candidates should be enthusiastic, positive, able to follow directions effectively, and demonstrate excellent teamwork skills.

Audition Schedule

  • Talent Audition: Submission Begins March 15th, 2026  (Online Audition)  

Please upload your audition video to YouTube. Make sure the video has not been edited or auto-tuned. Set the video’s privacy setting to Unlisted, and copy the video link into the registration form. 

Voice Audition Video Guidelines

Dance Audition Video Guidelines

  • Videos must be no longer than 3 minutes.
  • Performances may be in any language, including English, French, Mandarin, Cantonese, or others.
  • All material must be age-appropriate.
    *If selected, you may perform the same song entry if you wish.

When recording, please ensure that the background music and vocal track are well balanced, with the voice clearly heard at all times.

Amplification is optional. If a microphone is used, please avoid excessive echo, reverb, delay, or other sound effects. We are looking to hear each performer’s natural vocal quality.

Any recording that alters or obscures the true sound of the voice may be subject to disqualification.

Dance Audition Video Guidelines

Video Length

  • Audition videos must be 1–3 minutes in length.

Style & Choreography

  • Dancers may perform in any style (e.g., ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, cultural/folk, lyrical, etc.).
  • Choreography may be self-created or from an existing piece.
  • Content must be age-appropriate.

Filming Requirements

  • Record in a well-lit space where your full body is clearly visible from head to toe at all times.
  • Position the camera so movements are not cut off. A stable, landscape (horizontal) recording is preferred.
  • Ensure the background is clean and free of distractions.

Music & Sound

  • Music should be clearly audible and balanced with any live elements (such as footwork).
  • Avoid excessive audio effects or distortion.
  • Please ensure the volume is appropriate and does not overpower the performance.

Performance Presentation

  • Wear attire that allows judges to clearly see lines, posture, and technique.
  • Introduce yourself briefly at the beginning (name, age, style performed).
  • Perform with confidence, clarity, and strong stage presence.

Editing

  • Videos should be recorded in a single take.
  • Do not use filters, heavy editing, visual effects, or camera tricks. We want to see your authentic movement quality.

Instrumental Audition Video Guidelines

Video Length

  • Audition videos must be 1–3 minutes in length.

Repertoire

  • Performers may choose any genre or style (classical, jazz, pop, traditional, contemporary, etc.).
  • The selection should highlight technical ability, tone quality, musicality, and expression.
  • Stage performance and showmanship is an important factor in determining scoring

Filming Requirements

  • Record in a well-lit space with a clear, stable camera angle.
  • The performer and instrument must be fully visible at all times.
  • For pianists, ensure both hands and pedals are visible.
  • For string, wind, brass, or percussion instruments, ensure posture, hand position, and technique can be clearly seen.
  • Landscape (horizontal) recording is preferred.

Sound Quality

  • The instrument must be clearly heard without distortion.
  • Balance accompaniment tracks appropriately so the primary instrument is not overpowered.

Presentation

  • Begin the video with a brief introduction (name, age, instrument, and title of piece).
  • Perform in a focused, professional manner.
  • Dress neatly and appropriately.

Editing

  • Videos must be recorded in a single take.
  • No heavy editing, filters, pitch correction, or sound enhancement. Any recording that alters the natural sound may be disqualified.

Talent Show Date

  • Live Finals: May 2026

GKI is a unique children’s performing arts showcase, a high-end platform that integrates fashion and musical arts. The 2026 GKI Show is now recruiting child models and young talents in performing arts (vocal music, dance, instrumental music, etc.).

Audition Schedule:
· Model Audition: April 5, 2026
· Talent Audition: March 15, 2026
(Young artists selected through the talent audition are also invited to participate in the model performance.)
Model/Talent Training: April 12, 19, 26 & May 3
Show Date: Mid to late May 2026 (TBD – to be determined)

The 2026 GKI Show is now recruiting child models and young performing arts talents, including vocal music, dance, instrumental performance, and other artistic disciplines.

Model Application Criteria

Age:
Children aged 3 to 18 are eligible to apply.

Height & Size:
There are no specific height or size requirements. We celebrate diversity and welcome children of all body types.

Appearance:
We are looking for children with a natural, photogenic look and bright smiles who can confidently bring designers’ collections to life.

Attitude:
We seek enthusiastic, positive children who can take direction well and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.

Experience:
Prior modeling experience is not required, though it is considered a plus. We welcome children who are passionate about fashion, eager to learn about the industry, and committed to continuous growth with GKI.
